This Privacy Policy explains how MySkinalysis ("we", "us", or "our"), trading as skinalysis., collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our app. By using MySkinalysis, you agree to the practices described in this policy. 1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information directly from you when you create an account and use the app:

Name — your first name, provided during onboarding
Email address — used to create and manage your account
Password — used to authenticate your account (never stored in plain text)
Photos — face scan images you take within the app for AI skin analysis
Health data — skin type, skin concerns, skin analysis results, and menstrual cycle information if you choose to enable cycle-aware skincare
Location (country) — provided during onboarding to account for climate and environmental factors

We do not collect any derivative, behavioural, or analytics data, and we do not track your activity across other apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To deliver and operate the MySkinalysis app and its features
To generate your personalised skin analysis and routine recommendations
To send you push notifications (daily routine reminders and weekly scan reminders) if you opt in
To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
To evaluate and improve our services and user experience
To send administrative information such as account-related updates
To comply with our legal obligations
To protect the security of our services

3. Sensitive Information

We collect health-related information including skin analysis data and, if you choose to enable it, menstrual cycle tracking data. This information is treated with the highest level of care and is used solely to provide personalised skincare recommendations within the app. It is never sold or shared with advertisers.

4. Third-Party Services

To operate our app, we share certain data with the following third-party service providers:

Anthropic — our AI platform. Your face scan photo and onboarding information are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your skin analysis and routine recommendations. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy and data processing agreement.
Google Firebase (Firestore & Authentication) — used to store your account data and profile securely in the cloud, and to manage account login and authentication.

We do not disclose your information to advertisers, affiliate partners, or any other third parties. We do not sell your personal data.

5. AI-Based Services

MySkinalysis uses artificial intelligence to analyse your skin and generate personalised recommendations. This includes AI image analysis of your face scan and AI-driven research to match products and routines to your skin profile. The AI processing is carried out via Anthropic's platform. The AI analysis is a core function of the app — it cannot be opted out of while using the service.

6. Push Notifications

If you opt in during onboarding or via the Settings screen, we will send you daily skincare reminders (7:30 AM and 9:00 PM) and a weekly scan reminder. You can opt out of these notifications at any time by toggling them off in the app's Settings screen.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you have an active account with us. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at admin@myskinalysis.com and we will process your request promptly.

8. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. These include:

Secure authentication via Firebase, with passwords never stored in plain text
Firestore security rules that restrict each user to accessing only their own data
All data transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your personal data
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
Request a copy of your data in a portable format

10. Children's Privacy

MySkinalysis is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Users

MySkinalysis is operated from the United Kingdom. If you are accessing the app from outside the UK, your information may be transferred to and processed in the UK and other countries where our third-party providers operate. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, we process your data in accordance with the UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you via the app or email if the changes are material. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
